Exposure Management

See your weaknesses the way attackers do - and fix the ones that matter first.

Exposure Management: overview

Exposure management means seeing your weaknesses the way attackers do and fixing the ones that matter first. SecureBeans deploys continuous vulnerability management with risk-based prioritisation, external attack surface management to find exposed and forgotten assets, and threat detection and response using SIEM, XDR and managed detection and response (MDR).

We deliver exposure management with Rapid7 (InsightVM, Exposure Command, InsightIDR), Kaspersky, Microsoft Sentinel and Cofense phishing detection.

Exposure Management at a glance

From vulnerability management to exposure management

Traditional vulnerability management produces long lists. Exposure management asks which weaknesses an attacker can actually reach. SecureBeans combines authenticated scanning, attack surface management for internet-facing assets and risk-based prioritisation, so your teams fix what matters first.

Rapid7 InsightVM and Exposure Command

We deploy InsightVM for continuous scanning and remediation tracking and Exposure Command to unify vulnerability, cloud and attack surface data. Periodic penetration testing by specialist partners validates that fixes work and that controls hold up against real attack techniques.

Detection with next-gen SIEM and threat intelligence

Exposure is only half the picture. We implement next-gen SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel and Rapid7 InsightIDR, enrich them with threat intelligence and set up continuous monitoring. Where you need round-the-clock coverage, managed detection and response services take over triage and response.

FAQ

Exposure Management - frequently asked questions

What is vulnerability management?

Vulnerability management is the continuous process of discovering assets, scanning them for vulnerabilities, prioritising findings by real-world risk, remediating them and verifying the fix.

What is the difference between vulnerability scanning and penetration testing?

Vulnerability scanning is automated and continuous, finding known weaknesses across all assets. Penetration testing is a periodic manual exercise in which testers try to exploit weaknesses to show real impact. Both are needed.

What is attack surface management?

Attack surface management continuously discovers internet-facing assets - domains, IPs, cloud services and shadow IT - and flags exposed services and misconfigurations before attackers find them.

Do we need a SIEM or MDR?

A SIEM collects and correlates logs; MDR adds 24x7 experts who monitor and respond. Organisations without a round-the-clock SOC usually benefit from MDR.
