Attack Surface Management at a glance

See your organisation the way attackers do

Attack surface management continuously discovers internet-facing assets - domains, subdomains, IPs, cloud services and certificates - including shadow IT nobody remembered. External attack surface management (EASM) then flags exposed services such as open RDP, outdated web servers or leaked admin panels.

Asset discovery with Rapid7 Exposure Command

SecureBeans deploys Rapid7 Exposure Command for asset discovery, subdomain discovery and cloud exposure analysis, linked to vulnerability data. Continuous monitoring alerts you when something new appears so it can be secured or shut down.

FAQ

Attack Surface Management - frequently asked questions

What is attack surface management?

Attack surface management is the continuous discovery, inventory and risk assessment of all assets an attacker could target, especially internet-facing systems, cloud services and forgotten shadow IT.

How is EASM different from vulnerability scanning?

Vulnerability scanning checks assets you already know about. External attack surface management first discovers unknown internet-facing assets, then highlights exposures on them.

What is shadow IT?

Shadow IT is technology deployed without IT's knowledge, such as test servers, unmanaged cloud accounts or marketing sites, which often lacks patches and monitoring.
